This kit consists of an adapter block that is mounted between the carburetor and the air cleaner. Fuel is then channeled to the proper area in the carburetor so that the original carburetor can control the fuel mixture just the same as running on gasoline. This is the best way to convert your existing gasoline generator into a propane generator, natural gas generator or a tri-fuel generator. Professionals NEVER rely on gasoline as the primary fuel source for their backup generators because of its limited shelf-life and the tendency for this commodity to be hoarded during emergencies and disasters. Now that you have invested in a backup generator, make sure that it runs when you most need it by converting it to use propane, natural gas or even convert it to use all three of the primary fuels (propane, natural gas, gasoline).
Photo below shows the parts included with the dual fuel conversion kit for low pressure Propane, Natural Gas and the gasoline carburetor will not be modified, no drilling of the carburetor. Kit includes our Garretson style KN demand regulator, the fittings and hose from the KN style regulator to the adapter, longer studs or stud extenders, and a load block for adjusting the air fuel mixture.
The reasons to run a home generator on propane gas are compelling. Propane gas doesn't break down like unleaded gasoline, so there are no deposits that may clog the generator's fuel system. Additionally, propane can be stored and used safely in buildings and last longer than gas-powered units. Converting to propane is fairly easy to do and inexpensive.

Tools Needed for Average Installation

After proper installation, if the engine stalls, the fuel will STOP FLOWING between the Regulator and the adapter. Some engine applications (we are unable to determine which makes/models) might have a disturbance in performance when running your unit on gasoline. If this occurs you can remove the adapter temporarily when using gasoline. This will not hurt your engine. We will not be issuing refunds for this reason.
